About Ugaya Garden

I am Hidemasa Kobayashi, the second-generation owner of Ugaya Garden.

Ugaya Garden was established in 1970 in Mibu Town, Tochigi Prefecture.
In 2026, we will celebrate our 56th anniversary, and today the garden is operated in Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture, where I continue the spirit and techniques passed down from the first generation.

Our garden began with the purchasing and selling of large Satsuki azaleas, and over time, we have gradually expanded our business in response to changing eras.
Today, we primarily focus on bonsai, while also offering display shelves, garden trees, and a wide range of items that enrich life with bonsai.

Ugaya Garden holds an official bonsai export license, allowing us to deliver bonsai not only within Japan but also to customers overseas.
What began as a small garden in Mibu Town has grown to serve clients around the world, including those in the United States, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, China, and South Korea.

Many of our customers visit us in person to view and select bonsai before importing them.
For those who are unable to travel to Japan, we also offer bonsai introductions via video calls.
Of course, we also provide sales to customers within Japan.

We will continue to treat each bonsai with great care and dedication,
sharing the beauty and spirit of Japanese bonsai culture with people both in Japan and around the world.
